The China Scholastic Competency Assessment (CSCA) is a national standardized test system hosted by the China Scholarship Council (CSC), designed to scientifically, comprehensively, and rigorously assess the academic readiness of international students.
🎯 Scientific Selection Benchmark
As the core basis for China’s top “Double First-Class” universities to select outstanding international undergraduates, CSCA scores are directly linked to full scholarship evaluations and elite university admissions.
🧠 Multi-dimensional Assessment
The system tests basic and professional Chinese proficiency and focuses on STEM subjects such as Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, helping ensure a solid academic foundation.
🌍 Internationally Aligned Standards
Jointly developed by experts from top domestic universities, it balances China’s core college entrance examination points with mainstream international A-Level/AP curricula for global adaptability.
💡 Why is CSCA so important?
As the quality of education for studying in China continues to rise, the academic threshold for international students is increasing. Passing the CSCA can be an important prerequisite for scholarship and admissions pathways and helps students demonstrate academic readiness.
